on the passing of My Beloved "ROYS TOY SNIPPETS SILVERADO" (IMP USA)
I am overwhelmed with the tributes & support I have received from all of you
It means so much to me x

Amie Anderson I have been involved in the miniature horse industry for 20 years. 17 of those years, I have known Silverado. I have had the pleasure of exhibiting many of his progeny…. 2 of my highlights and biggest achievements have included exhibiting his daughter, Tiny Toy Snippets Ariel who took out the first ever MHAA National Supreme Champion Award in 2005. And his son, Tiny Toy Snippets Night Chant - we have had countless wins in Classic Head and Halter, and his most recent accolade in being the 2009 IMHR National Grand Champion Senior Stallion. Thank you Silverado, for producing many beautiful babies, and creating a benchmark in the breed. You will not be forgotten. Rest in peace in horse heaven Silverado, and look down proudly on the legacy you have created.

Ashley Geosits We are so sorry to hear about Silverado today. We stopped in this morning and left some flowers at your door. Take care, hugs and love, Ashley & Louis and the "boys"

Peter & Roz Kingston Dear Maree; Ever since becoming involved in Miniature Horses, we have openly told people that we would like the name of just one of our horses to be remembered into the Future. The sort of horse that comes up in conversations with admiration 20 years after he is gone, when Mini people are having a chat around the fire at night. We have also told many people that we hope to achieve the same for ourselves, to be remembered in a favorable way long after we are gone. It has only recently occurred to us that what we were aiming at was simple, We hoped to be like Maree Bennett and own a horse like Silverado. If we are honest with ourselves, most of us probably share the same sentiment. This status only comes with respect…respect is something which must be earned over time, cannot be bought or commanded. Maree… by your humble and honest approach to the Miniature Horse industry, you have earned the respect of most everyone in it, certainly us. Silverado… The legacy you leave behind….. There is not one amongst us who has not stood in a ribbon ceremony a little down the line from one of your progeny with admiration or experienced the sheer joy of standing a little up the line from one of your foals. You have set the benchmark…… Silverado you're a legend and we'll miss you, But the good lord he has mini horses too; And he needed a new stallion for his brood mares, And from all that he could have well he chose you. Silverado you're a legend and we'll miss you, Now you're up there where the pastures always green; Where the mares are never sour and they won't kick you, And your progeny's the best they've ever seen. Maree; from probably not your closest friends… but certainly a couple of you greatest admirers……. our deepest condolences. Peter and Ros
